Initially, the cap is tan or pale brown, but it matures into a golden brown or tan color. The cap’s surface remains dry and often retains noticeable remnants of the universal veil, appearing as spots or markings.

When you cut or handle the mushroom, the flesh inside is white and tends to bruise, turning bluish-green. These characteristics help identify and distinguish the Trans Envy mushroom.

Its stem is over 125 mm long, yellowish-white, with flesh that bruises bluish-green when touched. It also has a persistent ring on the stem from the partial veil, which can become dusted with purple-brown spores as it matures.

When young, the gills appear grayish, but as the fruit bodies mature, they turn nearly black.
