Tidal Wave Mushroom Liquid Culture

Tidal Wave is a highly potent Psilocybe cubensis strain created by mycologist Doma through the hybridization of B+ and Penis Envy genetics. Known for its distinctive wavy caps and thick, robust structure, this strain combines the resilience and ease of growth from B+ with the intense potency of Penis Envy. Tidal Wave has gained a strong reputation for its powerful characteristics and unique mutations, even serving as the genetic precursor to the famed Enigma variety, making it one of the most sought-after and recognizable modern cubensis strains.

Do not freeze mushroom genetics, freezing can reduce the quality.

The Tidal Wave strain was created by mycologist Doma through a deliberate cross between two well-known Psilocybe cubensis varieties: B+ and Penis Envy. By combining these genetics, he aimed to merge the fast growth and reliability of B+ with the dense structure and high potency associated with Penis Envy.

After the initial cross, the strain was stabilized through selective isolation, meaning desirable traits were repeatedly chosen and refined over multiple generations. During this process, unique mutations began to appear, including the now-famous “Enigma” phenotype, a dense, brain-like growth that doesn’t produce spores. This careful breeding and selection ultimately led to the distinct and highly regarded Tidal Wave strain known today.

Tidal Wave mushrooms have a thick, dense, and somewhat rugged appearance, often reflecting their Penis Envy lineage. They typically produce medium to large fruits with chunky, solid stems and caps that develop pronounced wavy or rippled edges as they mature, which explains where the strain gets its name. Cap coloration usually ranges from light golden to caramel brown, sometimes fading as they open, while the stems are pale to off-white and bruise a deep blue when handled. Overall, they tend to grow in irregular, sometimes blobby formations, with occasional mutations that give them a unique, almost coral-like or brain-like structure in certain phenotypes.

In the wild Tidal Wave thrives in subtropical high humidity environments with nutrient rich soils.
